About Me

Hi! Thanks for checking out my blog!

A little more about my background-I grew up on a farm in southern Minnesota where we raised corn, soybeans, and hogs. I graduated in a class of around 30 where basketball ruled the community. I was fortunate enough to play on two state tournament teams, ending with a second-place finish my senior year of high school. I was very involved in 4-H (no FFA in our school) and firmly believe I am a better person today because of the lessons I learned in 4-H.

After high school I headed to South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD where I met my husband Justin freshman year. Yup, I headed to South Dakota to find a cowboy, and I did! Haha not really, but that's what everyone from back home tells me. Justin grew up raising cattle not far from Brookings, and was very involved in 4-H growing up too. That's how I knew he was a winner! :)

We got married September 18, 2010, one of the greatest days of my life. We spent a couple years living and working in south central South Dakota before we headed out to Wyoming on a little adventure, but when the opportunity to move back to SD came along, we snatched that up, and I found myself an amazing job as a crop adjuster at the same time. Everything fell into place at the right time!
